Meet Coach Eddie

Birthday: May 16, 1990

Height: 5’9”

Weight: 177lbs

Current Rank: Purple

Lineage: same as Eric, with the exception of the Mikal Professor.

Bio:

Coach Eddie started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2018 under Professor Eric Fried. Prior to BJJ, Coach Eddie was a collegiate baseball player and amateur bodybuilder. He currently works as an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer for a local hospital and finds his career in the service of others extremely rewarding. Eddie believes that it is an honor to serve others through coaching and is excited to play a small role in each student’s development. He knows first-hand the potential of BJJ to foster mental and physical growth in those who seek to master it and he cannot wait to help others experience the same.

Coach Eddie currently lives in Hutto with his wife, Sara, and their two dogs, Sig and Ruger. In his spare time, he enjoys anything outdoors (particularly his newfound love for golf), reading, and riding his Harley on the weekends.

Game:

With a background in strength-oriented athletics, Coach Eddie was humbled by the ability of BJJ techniques to conquer raw power. As a result, his instruction emphasizes technique and whit to provide maximum efficiency of movements. He likes to keep sessions playful and lite to ensure his body remains healthy so he can roll multiple times during the week.
